- Slash burning ordinance passed by Gilpin County Commissioners as of Dec 20, 2011. Burning slash can be a cost-effective method of reducing hazardous fuels on private lands.

- To burn slash on your property, you must have two permits – one burn permit from Gilpin County and one burn permit from the State of Colorado (for smoke). For more information, read the Slash Burning Guide.
