The CSU Extension in Gilpin County helps mountain residents improve their quality of life by offering a website, classes and programs that provide unbiased, research-based information on forestry, wildfire, wildlife, mountain gardening, noxious weeds and many other issues. Through our 4-H programs, we help youth develop life skills through leadership opportunities.

The Gilpin Extension Office is open under strict COVID guidelines. These will be in effect until further notice:

  • Visitors must make an appointment for services not able to be obtained online
  • Curbside services (seed sales, herbicide program, etc.) will be utilized whenever possible and can be scheduled through the CSU Extension office. Email Jennifer.cook@colostate.edu
  • Visitors are required to wear a mask/face covering during their appointment/pickup
